With so many different approaches to health and wellbeing out there, it is often difficult to choose the right one for you. In fact, some things work for some people and you won't know what works for you until you try. Unfortunately, the cost of treatments and classes or simply the lack of information often prevent us from trying out everything that's on offer which is why we may be missing out on something that would be of great benefit to us.
The community stress management programme StressBusters set out to break these boundaries and provide the people of Hove (and Brighton, actually!) with opportunities to experience many different wellbeing approaches so that they can find the ones that work best for them.
Now in our 5th year, we are finally branching into Brighton. From February 2016 we are starting regular talk and demonstration evenings on the third Friday of every month (7.15-9.30pm) at the Hanover Centre.
Join us on Friday 19th February @ Hanover Community Centre and meet the StressBusters!
WHEN: Friday 19th February, 7.15-9.30pm
WHERE: The Hanover Centre, 33 Southover Street, Brighton BN2 9UD
ADMISSION: This event is FREE - just bring your inquisitive mind!
(coffee/tea, biscuits and lots of positive energy included)
Come along and discover what being a StressBuster is all about :)
Set up in September 2011, the programme currently encompasses over 20 experienced wellbeing practitioners who have decided to pull their forces together and share their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm with the rest of the community. In addition to the regular talk & demonstration evenings which usually cover two different wellbeing approaches, our programme of events includes affordable classes, workshops and courses. The website is also a good starting point for anyone wishing to gain a better understanding of a variety of stress-related issues and to learn about different stress-busting techniques.
You are welcome to join our Facebook group which is the place for sharing interesting articles and links relevant to stress and wellbeing. You can also follow updates on our Facebook page and Twitter. Best of all, it would be lovely to meet you in person!
